About Me
I am a Computer Science student who has used GameMaker for about a decade now. I love to explore unique-ish and novel ideas for software and I also love to tell stories, and creating games is a great way to leverage my creativity with regards to that.
Experience
My previous experience in programming has been primarily in Java (making Minecraft Mods) and in Game Maker 8.1. I made a few games (none of which I am proud of enough to mention) with it with varying levels of quality, and published them to a website which has been taken down.
I would say that I'm slightly above beginner level in C++, Game Maker Language, and Java. Of course, "beginner level" could mean a lot of things, but I'd like to always leave a little room to learn and grow, as I believe that's a fundamental part of programming.
A large factor that contributes to what I can do as a programmer is that I've been pretty decent about finding documentation and reading it wherever possible. Of course, I also use other online sources like forum posts when I am stuck. I typically note whenever this happens with a link within a comment in the code.
My Games
I tend to like making games within many different genres, and most of my projects are pretty made out of passion or as part of a game jam.
One neat fact about my games is that they're all interconnected in one way or another. At the moment, those connections are pretty loose, but as time passes and I put out more games, hopefully you'll start to see how they all come together.
